Potential jobs (Research) ??????

 My current end goal job is character designer/concept designer. However, I know this takes a lot of work to get too. I decided to look into various different jobs, I began by looking through Indeed. 


1. Design Assistant 

This is job listing for a picture book & illustrated non-fiction design job. It would be to design mock-ups, updating brand sheets, and making corrections to reimagine previously published books into fresh new formats.

Salary: You‘ll start on £24,000. Expect a £1,000 increase on your first anniversary in this role and a further £1,000 on your second to reflect your growing contribution.

Skills: Good typographic skills, creative flair, and desire to learn.Adobe suite experience  good working knowledge of Microsoft suit. 

Qualification: N/A

2. CREATIVE GRAPHIC DESIGNER & RETOUCHER

This is a job listing is for designing all digital aspects of the company’s aesthetic look as well as various print & visual merchandising projects. You will have excellent design & art direction skills and eye for layouts and digital trends.

Salary:  £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Skills: Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Brilliant layout and typography skills, Skilled designing/animating for paid media, Excellent retouching skills & colour correction, Ability to design & edit videos is a big plus, Basic knowledge of HTML and understanding of UI/UX principles

Qualification: 2 years + experience in a similar role, Experience generating content for a fashion/luxury brand, preferably menswear

3. Digital and Social Media Co-ordinator

Lead on the development of a social media strategy for the organisation and a delivery plan that will build community and the visibility of the Faraday Institution brand via social networks.

Salary:  £25,000 - £32,000 a year

Skills: Tech savvy, Confidence and professionalism to represent the organisation through social media and elsewhere, learner and self-starter, Creative writing and storytelling skills, Comfortable in creating social media content

Qualification: N/A


4. Graphic Designer

You will be working on a variety of projects such as:

- Design for print; brochures, press advertisements, stationery, instruction sheets, flyers.

- Exhibition design; we attend a number of trade shows throughout the year. These occasionally require exhibition panels to be designed and digital print specified.

- Digital photographic projects; photographing trucks and parts for use in the above situations. You may also be required to visit numerous truck shows throughout the year in order to photograph customer's vehicles.

- Develop and populate our current website

Salary:  £30,000.00 per year

Skills: versed in the use if Adobe CC application, experience in photography

Qualification: web design: 1 year (Preferred), Graphic design: 1 year (Preferred)


5. Graphic Designer

Typical activities include:

· liaising with clients to determine their requirement of branding / design;

· working with clients, briefing and advising them regarding design style, format, print production, and timescales;

· developing concepts, graphics, and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites;

· determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size;

· preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief;

· reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required;

· liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and the material is printed to the highest quality.

Salary: £17,443.00-£36,249.00 per year
